SCOTT BEERS - PRESIDENT & Chief Executive officer
An entrepreneur first and foremost, Scott Beers has extensive experience building, growing and leading organizations. Scott joined Point3 Farma in 2018 as President. Prior to joining Point3 Farma, he spent the last 27 years growing The Switch Enterprises, LLC from startup, to a well-respected disruptor in the broadcast space. In 2018, he successfully exited the organization, after securing venture-capital backing. In addition to founding The Switch, he also founded and led TX Media, and Beers Associates, Inc, both of which were service providers in the broadcast industry.
david Lahar - Chief Financial officer
David Lahar has been a Founding Managing Partner of Auriga Partners, Inc., a private equity firm, from 1992 to date. Prior to founding Auriga, Dave was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of PaineWebber, where he was the head of the San Francisco office and one of the senior members of the firm’s Technology and Emerging Growth Group. Before joining PaineWebber, David was a First Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department of Drexel Burnham Lambert and prior to that, a Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group of Kidder, Peabody & Co. David received a Masters in Business Administration, awarded with Distinction, from the Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics and Government from Harvard College, and a Licence en Science Économique from the Université Catholique de Louvain. David is currently on the Board of Directors of Pioneer Offroad Holdings ULD, The Switch Enterprises, LLC and is on the Board of Trustees of Scripps College.
malcolm beers - Co-founder & Vice president, Business Development
Malcolm Beers is one of Point3 Farma’s co-founders. Prior to co-founding Point3 Farma, Malcolm served for eight years as a Senior Account Executive at The Switch Enterprises, LLC, where he was responsible for servicing large media companies such as The PGA Tour, The Golf Channel, and NASCAR. Since January 2018, he has served as Vice President of Business Development for Oak & Cane Spirits, LLC, a producer of premier craft rum, where he was instrumental in its multi-state roll out. Now serving Point3 Farma as Vice President, Business Development, Malcolm is responsible for implementing growth strategies, reporting on industry trends, and managing and retaining relationships with existing clients. Malcolm graduated from Bentley University in Waltham, MA with degrees in Marketing and Management.
joseph Villatico - co-founder & Vice president, Sales
Joseph Villatico is one of Point3 Farma’s co-founders. Prior to co-founding Point3Farma, Joseph spent over 10 years in the beverage industry, during which he co-founded Oak & Cane Spirits, LLC, a producer of premier craft rum. He is currently acting COO of Oak & Cane American Craft Rum, and successfully executed the product's multi-state roll out into large retailers, including: Publix, ABC Liquors, Walgreens, Total Wines, and Costco. Prior to Oak & Cane, Joseph was the Action Sports Marketing Manager for Monster Energy, followed by his tenure as Vice President of Sales for Real Water Company. In both positions, he was responsible for overseeing multi person sales and marketing teams. As Vice President of Sales for Point3Farma, Joe is primed to manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities, as well as direct and coordinate company sales and marketing functions.
howard miller - vice president, operations
Howard Miller brings extensive operational experience to Point3 Farma. As Vice President, General Manager of IDB Communications and President of VideoLink, both for 10 years, he was instrumental in significantly increasing revenues, assembling and developing staffs, state-of-the-art facilities, and helped to create custom, patented software, all while developing and nurturing customer and vendor relationships. Howard was one of the founding partners of The Switch in 1989. Most recently he served as The Switch’s Executive Vice President, for the past 8 years, where he was responsible for Operations, Engineering and IT during their major growth period. Howard is a graduate of Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Speech.
Debbie greve - vice president, finance & Administration
Debbie Greve brings extensive knowledge to managing the financial operations of a growth-mode company. Debbie’s eleven years of service at The Switch as CFO and EVP of Strategic Initiatives included development of systems of internal control as well as executing its purchasing, growth and acquisition strategies. Similarly, she had earlier served ten years as CFO for a RI-based health maintenance organization start-up, with membership growing from zero to sixty thousand during her tenure. She holds insight into an array of industries from her early career experiences within the Audit division at Mullen & Company, CPA in Boston. Debbie graduated from Bentley College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy.
JESSICA MINTZ - VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING
Jessica Mintz is an experienced marketing leader with over 10 years of B2B marketing experience in high-growth organizations. Having previously led all marketing efforts for The Switch, she aided in growing the organization from start-up, to established industry leader. Jessica joined Point3 Farma in 2019 as its Vice President of Marketing, where she will be responsible for leading all marketing efforts of the organization. Jessica holds a Masters in Business Administration from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, from Pepperdine University.
MARLIN ZIMMERMAN - DIRECTOR, FARMING OPERATIONS
Marlin Zimmerman is a Colorado resident and the owner and manager of his own 235-acre organic farm in the San Luis Valley. Committed to sustainable organic farming practices, Marlin has been instrumental in bringing together and managing Point3 Farma’s 1,700-acre farming operation, and developing advanced growing strategies suited to hemp farming at the altitudes of the Valley. Prior to farming in San Luis Valley, Marlin was the co-owner and manager of a logging company in Tennessee. Prior to that, Marlin spent 8 years in the management and operations of a 1,500 acre organic and conventional farm in Pennsylvania, while also owning an agricultural fence construction company operating in the same area.
